WERRI BEACH RETREAT 2026

This is a weekend retreat, away from daily life, giving you an opportunity to immerse yourself in your yoga practice in a relaxed, beachside environment. All accommodation, food and yoga is included in the cost of the retreat. 

Werri Beach is a lovely, quiet spot 2 hours from Penrith by car. Walk along the beach, visit the lagoon, or just relax in the holiday cabins. We will practise yoga in the hall, eat together in the communal kitchen, and stay in pre-booked accommodation. 

The retreat is suitable for students with a minimum of 3 months Iyengar yoga experience.

Food and Accommodation:

• Accommodation is in 2 room cabins at Werri Beach Holiday Park, 3 to a cabin. One room has a double bed, one room has 2 singles. You can choose a room to yourself or twin share when you book.

• All meals are supplied. Meals are vegan and gluten free, with dairy and gluten options available. Food be from IKU. Please let us know when you book if you have any dietary requirements other than vegan and gluten free.

Bring: 

• Yoga mat, 2 blocks, a belt, a bolster (if you have one) and whatever equipment you use for shoulder stand (e.g. either a set of blankets or foam pads and a blanket). 

• Please label all equipment. 

• Ideally you will bring your own equipment, but speak to us if you would like to borrow equipment from the studio.

• Warm clothes for Winter on the beach.

• Wet weather gear for walking between cabins, hall and communal dining area.

• Beach towel & swimmers if you plan to swim.

• No need to bring linen. This is supplied.

Pricing:

• We have tried this year to make the retreat affordable for as many as we can. We have given you choices of accommodation, so those who want a room to themselves will pay a premium, and we have chosen to have food from IKU that we will prepare ourselves. These changes have resulted in a significant change in the price. We hope to see you there.

• Down from $1100, the retreat is $845 for a room to yourself, $695 if you share a room. You can organise your own accommodation and pay $470. If you organise your own accommodation, we request you stay at the holiday park so you are available for communal activities. You could camp in a tent or campervan if you have one. Let the holiday park know you are with the yoga group, and you can get a discount. You can take another $80 off the price if you wish to bring your own food. Note that you would need to have food already prepared. Meals are scheduled straight after class to allow time for digestion before the next class.

• We prefer payment directly into our bank account to save on fees. Please choose Manual Payment when you book.

• A minimum of 9 attendees is required for the retreat to go ahead. Your payment would be refunded in full if the retreat did not go ahead.

Transport:

Please make your own travel arrangements. On booking, you will have access to a group chat with others who have booked.

By Car: Put Werri Beach Progress Hall into your GPS, or head for Nowra and take the Gerringong turnoff. We encourage you to car pool - best option for the environment, and enjoy the company of other yoga students.

By Train: There are trains to Gerringong or else trains to Kiama followed by a bus to Gerringong; you would need to arrange for someone to pick you up from the station. Or else the walk from the station to the hall should take around 30 minutes

Once in your accommodation all facilities are within easy walking distance.
